Comparing the Synchromesh box with the standard and assuming the alignment to be good, the former seems to differ from the latter only in respect to the sliding piece, which in the former case has teeth and serrations at one end & a considerable overhanging mass at the other. This scheme would correct this difference. The upper scheme is one suggested by "H" but if it is inconvenient under the circumstanc -es, the lower one could be used.
