To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} X 12-82. 1.3.34. Phantom R.42. Test with Pratt's Ethyl & Regent Petrol. Slow running was equally good on both. Detonations persisted up to 12 m.p.h. on both fuels. The two hill climbs done showed up in favour of the Regent Petrol. The general impression gained was that the carburation was a little stronger with the Regent Petrol; otherwise the running was as good if not better than Pratt's Ethyl. No consumption test was taken.
