Silencers and Carburetter.

With reference to Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}5/E.29.10.30.

It is proposed to standardise the Air Silencer Carburetter both for English use and for America. This Carburetter ran 10,000 miles on 24-EX. The final proportions are a question of balancing silencer against loss of power and we consider that the best compromise is that which was fitted to 25-EX. which has gone to America. This we propose to standardise.

It will still be open to us to increase the benefits of the air silencer as an air cleaner by increasing the amount of gauze should it be found desirable for any particular colonial conditions.
