1326 To E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} from ROY.{Sir Henry Royce} c. to Dr. c. to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. to SFT.{Mr Swift} ----------------- ROY{Sir Henry Royce}1/MG2.10.33 ----------------- Some three weeks ago E and Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Lid{A. J. Lidsey} agreed we should standardise a steel-shafted, steel-headed Hammer for the Rudge-Whitworth Bentley Wheels. I understood the Experimental Shop and Drawing Office jointly were making arrangements to produce 15 or 20 such Hammers for the early cars in view of the urgency of the matter. This morning we are in receipt of drawings from the Drawing Office detailing the Hammer in question, and I understand none whatever have been put in hand. We are making arrangements to obtain supplies from outside; but I wish to place on record the position as we see it. ROY.{Sir Henry Royce} | ||
