STANDARDISATION of CHASSIS PARTS.
Description of Parts.
LIGHT PRESSED COVER ON CENTRAL BEARING OF REAR SPRING.
Origin.
To prevent oil getting on passengers clothes.
Experimental Test Report.
On the present cars, if an excessive amount of oil is forced into the central bearing of the rear springs, it is liable for this to get on to the passengers clothes when getting in and out of the rear of the body.
Road Test Report.
Fitted to 49-GB - run 2300 miles.
This cannot affect the running or reliability.
