DERBY.

Dear Mr. Hives,

It has occurred to me to send you the enclosed maintenance card which I would ask you to be good enough to see reaches the man who is going to test the Rolls Royce on the road with Houdailles on as of course without correct adjust-ment - and this card explains it - the desirable results could not be anticipated and I should not like your people to form a wrong opinion owing either to faulty fitting or adjustment. I enclose also fitting instructions in the hopes that you will see that this goes to the Department fitting the Suspensions.

I fitted a pair of Suspensions two weeks ago to the back of a Rolls Royce car and within two days of redelivery the people came back and asked me to fit a pair to the front which meant of course that we had to move the usual Rolls fitting. I am getting quite a lot of cases like this and I am convinced that after a proper test you will appreciate I have not written one word too much in praise of the Houdaille.

Yours faithfully,

C Defries.
