DATA FOR ROLLS-ROYCE DYNAMO REGULATOR. Dynamo. Type 12, volt, 4 - pole, shunt wound. Negative brush earthed. Field Winding. Resistance 6.2 ohms at 18°C. Max. field current = 16 V / 6.2 Ω = 2.58 amperes at 18°C. Open circuit volts 13.0 volts at 660 r.p.m. at 70°C. 16.0 " 760 r.p.m. Max. current at 22.0 amperes at 1380 r.p.m. 13.0 volts 70°C. Regulator. This should be such as to keep the O.C. voltage measured on the regulator terminals, at 16.0 volts at all speeds between 760 r.p.m. (about) and 6,000 r.p.m. In a similar manner the current at 13.5 volts on the regulator terminals to be maintained at about 19 amps, and at all speeds between 1,380 r.p.m. and 6,000 r.p.m. ------------ | ||
