Contd;-3- Item 6 on agenda. Road springs and Item 19 of last Minutes. BX. reported that Woodheads and Samuel Fox have been consulted and we await their proposals and quotations. Item 7 on agenda. 19-EX. position re special points being tested with a view to production, with list asked for in Item 11 of last Minutes. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} said he had improved on the carburetter as fitted to 19-EX. and had the improved model fitted to another car. H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} and Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} considered that the larger air valve should be tried and it was agreed that E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} should proceed with a suitable carburetter body which will allow of either the present air valve or a larger air valve to be used. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} produced a list of special features fitted to 19-EX for test with a view to standardisation, and handed a copy to Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} This list contains items to be recommended for inclusion in the orders for the next sanction of material. 1. Balanced crankshaft to scheme 1849. Agreed. 2. Cylinder head 5.25 compression ratio, new cylinder head complete Agreed to with new exhaust valves and valve 5.25 comp: ratio springs. for Continental models only. Standard F.II to be 5 to 1. 3. Camshaft and bearings, camshaft 38244S longer duration 114º Agreed. between cams. 4. Synchro mesh gear box. Agreed. 5. Steering, flexible shackle. Agreed. 6. Lucas horn fitted under apron. Agreed. 7. Bonnet 6" longer with new dashboard F64202. Agreed. 8. Exhaust fittings. Chrome iron manifold straight downtake pipe. To await further experiments. Go hand to mouth with supplies. 9.
