Le Dec Swdl{Len H. Swindell} - what are these rods. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} 200 BY/Cgh.{W Clough}11/W 23.6.37. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Bentley Chassis - Ignition Governor. With reference to Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Swdl.{Len H. Swindell}2/AP.18.6.37 in connection with the recommendation that we should standardise the modification as shown on LeC.5697 for the Bentley chassis, similar to what we have already done for the 25/30 H.P., we find that the Works have produced 600 - Pull Rods, which cost 1/6d. each, therefore will you please let us know if you consider that the modification is of such a nature that we ought to scrap these Rods, or whether they should be used up.
