CHASSIS - FRONT & REAR SPRINGS.

Referring to Messrs Woodhead's letter of the 19th inst, which I return herewith, I am settling the points they raise, as follows:-

1. In regard to the number of plates in the various weights of rear springs, I am in agreement with their suggestion, namely,
(a). 1400 to 1700 lbs. inclusive, 8 plates.
(b). 1800 to 2000 " 9 "
(c). 2100 to 2300 " 10 "
(d). 2400 to 2600 " 11 "
(e). 2700 & 2800 " 12 "

2. Front Springs will be as previously supplied, with the numbers of plates specified on drawing, and will also be fitted with nibs and slots.

3. Rear Springs. These will not be ground, and will not be fitted with nibs and slots, and plates to be rolled flat in section, so as to get the maximum bearing surface.

4. Clips. Both Front and Rear Springs should be fitted with the new design of Box Clip.

The above points have been discussed with Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} and Da{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}, who are in agreement with the above representing what we require.
