re CHASSIS GZK-59 - MAJOR A.D.THOMSON.
NENTHORN KELSO.

With reference to my Memo. No.2879 MK15/RK21.3.28.

Owner telephoned me to say that the new cut-out you sent had been fitted and the dynamo had at first appeared to be charging alright but had then fallen off again and was as bad as before.

It appeared to me that it had become a job for an electrician to locate the exact nature of the fault, so I suggested the car should be sent in to John Croall & Sons Edinburgh, as Owner was anxious to have it right instead of waiting until the car was in London, as originally arranged.

It came in the next day and Croalls found that the winding of the dynamo armature had broken down. They effected a satisfactory repair but are of opinion that it may very possibly break down again after a bit.

I think therefore you will probably agree that the most satisfactory course will be for N. to fit another dynamo in any case when the car comes in to them in May as arranged.
