(15) Self Starters on pre-war cars.

It was stated that a pre-war car will be fitted with a self starter in about three weeks' time in the Experimental Dept. and a report with cost will be sent to BJ.

(16) Reference certain tools in the Tool Kit.

It was agreed that PN.{Mr Northey} and BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} should discuss this matter.

WORKS AGENDA.

(1) Reduction of Establishment Charges in each department.

Agreed that Head of each department will go through the costs of his department at least once a week, as it was thought that as less and less work was now going through each department the costs ought to become less.

(2) Progress of Goshawk II, including position of Central controls.

This matter was dealt with in Nos. 7 and 8 of Sales Agenda.

(3) 14/52 Back Axle.

This matter was dealt with in No.5 of Sales Agenda.

(4) Present type of Magneto. As to whether the Watford is suitable or not, or whether we should fit the Bosch Magneto.

This matter will be referred to London as a matter of expenditure and policy.

(5) Improved method of holding lids on Battery Boxes.

It was stated the sample box was now in the Experimental Dept. which will be sent to R.{Sir Henry Royce} very shortly.

(6) Dynamo cutting in earlier.

EFC. will send a report to BJ.

(7) and (8) Question of new parts being brought in simultaneously in U.S.A. and Derby etc.
Alterations to standard.

A matter of policy and expense; to be considered in London, together with No.4.
