Wor. {Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} Hs. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} By. PN. {Mr Northey} CWB. AB KL4118081 C5/C13.11.26. Re 20 h.p. Steering Complaints. -------- Further to our C1/C13.11.25. we enclose herewith copy of letter we have this morning received from a prospective customer which will show you that this complaint of the steering is doing us quite a lot of harm, as, although in this case we have been able to trace the actual loss of a sale, we are not able to trace how many sales we lose that we never hear of; and in addition to this, no doubt this particular customer would not hesitate to tell his friends why he did not buy a Rolls-Royce. Will you please consider whether you think we ought to make this alteration to all 20 h.p. chassis as we get them. This, in any case, will depend upon the cost to some extent upon the-cost, so perhaps you will please ask the Accountants Dept. what the cost of these alterations will be.
