The following is a telephone message received from CJ. this morning:- "20-HP Chassis are arriving with 11 x 50 axles. We understand they are not allowed to be issued as they are not standardised. No standardisation sheet has been passed. Platford is passing these axles to London as satisfactory. When will they be standardised?" On telephoning through to your Department on this matter, we were informed that you had gone to Birmingham, but that you would return at 4 p.m. this afternoon.
