Messrs. Luvax Ltd.,
Larden Road,
ACTON, W.3.

For the attention of Mr. Pitt.

Dear Sirs,

Re our conversation on the telephone this morning - since you still appear to be having trouble with the manufacture and calibration of drip plugs, we do not wish you to feel that the responsibility should rest with us in regard to the design of the drip plugs.

The suggestions we make relative to the reamering of the hole, etc., are only our own views that this method would facilitate accurate and quick production. We are not against any other method you may have in view, and as long as the drip plugs are within the limits agreed to we should not concern ourselves with the manufacture of them. Should you find the steel plugs are not adaptable, you should inform our Mr. Bailey but meanwhile we suggest that a lot of experimental work in connection with drip plugs might be done.

It has occurred to us that once you are satisfied with the consistency of your manufacture, it would probably be possible to calibrate the plugs on a petrol flow meter. We can see an enormous amount of time being saved by this method which should not be affected by ordinary air temperatures.

We should like to hear your viewpoints on this.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
