GEAR BOX.
We have got a 90% cure of oil leaks from the Box.
The leaving out of the pressing in the swing-ing arm bearing, was causing most of the leak. We have still got a leak from the front 1st motion shaft bearing. We collected from the drain hole, 1/8 of a pint during yesterday's run. None from the unit drive, and only a weep from the Servo side.

The fitting of the baffle in the tower of the selector lever to prevent the throw up of the oil, from the continuous gears has stopped the oil getting into the change speed lever tube and consequently, cured that leak.
We are fairly happy now with the Box.

STEERING BOX.
We have discovered that the loss of oil from the Box, is due to some faulty design with the bizur feed through the box to the pendulum lever.
We have been having pools of oil dripping off the end of the pendulum lever, and could not believe that it was bizur oil. We therefore cut off the bizur supply altogether, and still got the same quantity of oil dripping from the end of the lever.
Without dismantling the box, we cannot see how the bizur connection is made.

We would be obliged if you could let us have a drawing of same.
