Ignition timing. We have to-day been checking up the Engine Ignition timing. We found A side three inches too early on the Flywheel marking, and B side 1/2 an inch late. We have corrected these timings, and they are now, A side 12° BTDC and B side 14° BTDC.

We have cut out the fancy work of the Radiator Grille to allow more air to pass, as the Car does not look finished with the grille off. We have made a further modification to a baffle in the Gear box tower. We found that the lever for the selector shafts was diverting the oil stream.

We have received Hardy's memo, but if the modifications he mentions have to be made, a Fitter will be required to dismantle the box. We have not got the tools nor the experience.

FRONT TYRES.

Since the dismantling of the front pan etc., we have experienced a very peculiar wear of the front Tyres. The Near Side wore all the inside tread away leaving at first, a perfectly good tread on the outside edge. Then the outside edge tread wore leaving a peculiar shaped tread. The O.S. was similar but in wedge shape. We will have them photographed and let you have a print.

The cure of the rear Engine bearing is still 100%. We are however getting oil leaks from everywhere else on the Engine. We are trying to get an effective breather.
