considered, but if improvements are obtained on the New PhantomCodename for PHANTOM I chassis, similar features can be embodied in this design.

(15) OVEROILING AND SMOKE FROM EXHAUST. (Refer CWB2/LH {Mr Haworth} 6.10.25).
Although a certain amount of trouble is being experienced with this on cars on test, it is not considered by the Works as being a prevalent fault in service, and it is contended by them, in view of this, that the rigid test we are giving them (same as New PhantomCodename for PHANTOM I) is not necessary. Can this be confirmed?
[Handwritten note left of text]: Test not necessary generally, but should be applied in bad cases.
[Handwritten note below 'confirmed?']: cases

(16) NOISE FROM RADIATOR SHUTTERS. (Refer CWB2/LH {Mr Haworth} 6.10.25).
Is this complaint put forward as a rattling noise from the shutters or a singing noise set up with the shutters fully open when running at high speeds? It is the latter point which has been raised on one or two occasions as being an "engine gear noise".

(17) DYNAMOS.
[Handwritten note above 'Complaints...']: Cover is partly removable and brush inaccessible. This can be got at if dynamo is slacked off and dynamo wheel turned.
[Handwritten note to the right of '...brush adjustment, etc.']: to the effect. in instruction book also applies to Phantom.
Complaints have been made of the difficulty of removing the cover for brush adjustment, etc.

(18) CARBURATION. (refer CWB2/LH {Mr Haworth} 6.10.25).
[Handwritten note left of text]: In hand A.C.L
This matter is having Experimental Dept. attention, but is not considered so bad as to require immediate action.

(19) BATTERY BOX SUPPORT BREAKAGES. (Refer CWB2/H6.10.25).
Further experience on this matter is required.

(20) CHANGE GEAR MECHANISM.
Complaints have been raised of the difficulty of changing gear on the India chassis. The movement of the change gear lever in the gear box does not agree with the change gear lever quadrant, as demonstrated to H. {Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints}
It has also been recorded that during cold weather, the movement of the change gear has been difficult until used for a short time (thick oil or oil trapped).
[Handwritten note left of text]: We found no trouble if Amber Oil B is used.

(21) FRONT AXLE BENT. (10,000 miles test 9-G-3).
This is a point which is having Design and Experimental attention.

(22) ROAD SPRING BREAKAGES. (see 10,000 miles test, (9.G.3) reports).

(23) LAGGING OF EXHAUST PIPES.
These were not very satisfactory (per 10,000 miles
