test report of 9-G-3).

(24) FRONT WING BRACKETS: not suitable for wider track.
This matter has been dealt with and it is understood that wider front wing stays will come through on the next series of cars.

(25) FUSE BOX COVER.
The same remarks apply as under New PhantomCodename for PHANTOM I List, No. 40. The Experimental Dept. have the matter in hand.

(26) SPRING DRIVE HUB SEIZING ON CRANKSHAFT.
This is a point which has not caused actual failures in service, but trouble has been experienced in dismantling same when the car is being repaired or overhauled.
Handwritten Note: Should not occur if hub is hinged on rigidly and a good fit on taper in first instance.

(27) SPRINGING.
The general complaint appears to be that the springing is too strong. Requests have been made that the rear shock absorbers should be made adjustable.

(28) OIL LEAKS, WATER PUMP DRIVE.
This has been a complaint on one or two occasions, and the matter is being considered by the Design Dpt.

(29) FUMES IN THE BODY.
Refer to New PhantomCodename for PHANTOM I Points, No. 26.

(30) FLOORBOARD CLEARANCES TO CHANGE GEAR MECHANISM - to reduce tendency of vibrations being conveyed to driver and passengers.
This is also being considered by the Design Dept. but there is simultaneously the difficulty of avoiding fumes in the body.

(31) SELF-STARTER FAILURES.
It is contended that this trouble has been overcome by fixing of the new type slipper scheme.
Handwritten Note: Tests in hand

(32) PEDAL PLATES.
(See New PhantomCodename for PHANTOM I Points, No. 34).

(33) RADIATOR AND SHUTTER FINISH.
(See New PhantomCodename for PHANTOM I Points, No. 33).
