Phantom III.
D.W.S. Jack. Position of Hand Pump and Handle on Car.
We send herewith LeC 5012 showing the quarter scale elevation of the front seat, giving the position of the hand pump and the length of stroke of the operating handle.
It will be seen that the reduced angular travel of 44° with a mean position 3° in front of vertical is called for. By measuring the Phantom III cars at the Works we find that the longest handle permissible is 22 ins. measuring from the centre of the pump spindle to the top of the handle.
