EAC.7. STARTER.

Referring to R8/M28.4.28. the phenomena described by Mr. Royce could be definitely checked as to whether he is correct in his explanation of same if the complete starter motor which was produced for 9-EX. and has helical teeth of 5° spiral with sharp corners on the teeth were fitted to EAC.1 chassis. I mention this particular chassis because it is the one for which the scheme was produced, and the parts are not suitable for any other, but as soon as the parts are available it is desirable to fit same and see if the knock is present with a helical gear.
