Hallam - Head Repairs} made a statement that he was making arrangements to repair and re-fit Rudge Whitworth wheels, supplied up to 1912, in our own Works instead of sending them back to the makers. The others are too small in number to be of any consequence, and we will continue to do as we are doing for these few, that is to send them back to makers. (2) WOOD WHEELS FOR NEW TEST CHASSIS. EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} stated, in minutes of conference 5/5/20, that he required wood wheels for cars on test. It has been discovered since the meeting yesterday that there are sufficient wood wheels in the Works to carry on for EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}'s requirements, so this is not a question for Wd.{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead} (3) SHORT TYPE BRAKE LEVERS. We have now got all the Levers owing to the Test Dept. in the hands of our Close-Platers. We can promise that all these Levers will be fitted to chassis in Test Dept. by Saturday the 8th inst. (4) OIL & FUEL GAUGE FLANGES. 132 Flanges have come into the Stores since the 30th ult. (which makes 66 pairs). 50 pairs of Gauges in the Stores. (5) KLAXON HORN. Wd.{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead} has telephoned the Klaxon people in Birmingham inviting their Mr.Preston to come here. Mr. Preston will telephone in the course of today when he is coming. | ||
