as regards standardisation and we see no reason why they should not, this means that the parts must run 10,000 miles. It will take on the average, 6 months from the time we receive the material to the time the test is completed. If, however, they will send us parts which are very nearly identical to those we are using, we should be prepared to recommend that they place certain material on order with the risk that it may have to be scrapped if the parts fail on test. If, however, they send us parts which are totally different to what we are using then we should not be prepared to recommend that they even order material until we have completed the tests.
