It is rather generally agreed that our front springs are a little too soft.

I have suggested from time to time that we increase the stiffness of them a little as well as the fact that they are to be made of rather more plates, less highly stressed to overcome the difficulty of the permanent set.

This Report of 58NA{Mr Nadin} using the rubber buffers more frequently than desirable may be due to either over flexibility or permanent set, or a little of each.

{ the object of reducing the oil pressure on this engine, at
{ any rate below our usual.
