Re. Chassis 79-TW.
--------------------

We have dismantled from the above Car which has recently been in our Department for attention - 1 - 12 volt Exide Accumulator which we found to be faulty. A re-conditioned battery has been supplied.

The faulty battery has been dismantled and the cells examined.

The plates in three of the cells are buckled considerably and in the remaining 3 cells the plates are slightly buckled.

No ebonite separators are fitted and it is probably due to the absence of these elements that the plates are buckled.

In our opinion the makers should not make a charge for re-conditioning this battery. this point, we will, however, leave until EFC. examines the battery together with the Chloride representative.
