(7) Bowering should note that Mr. Nichols is coming up next week with a view to discussing the faults which occurred on 21-G-IV Jacking System in detail. He has now received the SpectreCodename for Phantom III Chassis and we wish to avoid reproducing the troubles experienced on 21-G-IV on this other car. Mr. Nichols still persists that mineral oil is the main cause of failure on the 20/25, and we wish to disillusion him. [Handwritten: L.P.L / F.m]

(8) Hardy will report on the oil leaks on 33-EX steering box. [Handwritten: ✓]

(9) Swindall will follow up the flame traps to LeC.4755 and get them tested. [Handwritten: Keep off list]

(10) Bowering should examine the scheme which has been fixed up by Swindall whereby the pump circuit is broken when the float chamber level rises above a certain amount, and if possible get one fitted up on a car. [Handwritten: Keep off list ✓]

(11) Matthews must urge a set of fully split die-cast pistons, and should make experiments to see how much tighter these pistons can be fitted without seizing, with a view to overcoming knocks. [Handwritten: ✓]

(12) Dodd should issue a report on detonation caused by bent ignition spindles. [Handwritten: ✓✓]

(13) Dodd will let me have a tracing showing the comparative positions of the Bentley and 33-EX accelerator pedals to indicate why the former is so uncomfortable. [Handwritten: ✓]

(14) Dodd will continue his investigations on the vibrations brought up by the rear cross member and the floorboards. He will also try and get out a scheme for a torque reaction damper which is not affected by engine alignment, and should get Banister to inspect this.

(15) Steadman will co-operate with Bell and get oil cooler tests at high temperatures. [Handwritten: Swindall & Report / High Temp. cooler tests / yes Tuesday]
