4th March 1924.

Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd.,

Derby.

Dear Sirs:-

Your Order 23955. Our Ref 8575/P9035

Reverting to yours of 27th., ult., we have been into communication with our Works People and have now heard from them in reply.

Unfortunately the information you will find far from satisfactory, seeing that the position does not permit us to promise a delivery before another three weeks. If we can improve on this date, we shall be only too pleased to do so, but at the best we are afraid that it will not mean the saving of more than a day or two.

The present state of affairs is brought about by Industrial troubles, our People suffering from a Strike which is directly effecting their Works.

We therefore beg your tolerance on their behalf, and express a hope that no great inconvenience will be occasioned by this delay.

We are at all times,

Yours faithfully,

for Le Carbone.

T.
