X. 4333 Carbon Brushes - Le Carbone

As you are aware, we are experiencing certain difficulties in obtaining reasonable supplies from these people, in addition to which from time to time the dimensions have not been to our limits, and the matter is further complicated by the fact that all our negotiations are dealt with through London, who then take the question up with France.

I do not know whether you are now in a position to report that the Morgan supplies made in London are equal to Le Carbone. It would certainly help us considerably if such were the case.

Attached is communication to hand this morning from Le Carbone, dated the 4th instant, advising us of further trouble they are experiencing.

ROY. {Sir Henry Royce}
