Changing Bendix Pinion to Bijur Drive. I discussed this matter with EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}, Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} and PN.{Mr Northey} yesterday. They were of opinion that the car which R.{Sir Henry Royce} tried was an exception, whereas the other demonstration cars fitted with Bendix pinions were sufficiently satisfactory. They are making arrangements to alter the Bendix pinion on the car which R.{Sir Henry Royce} tried, and if this suggestion is likely to be satisfactory, we will put the matter before R.{Sir Henry Royce} for his decision as to whether it is necessary to change the Bendix pinion on any other cars.
