Re. 40/50 SPRINGING.

Replying to Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}2/E8.9.31.

We can alter the front shock dampers on 58-GN. so as to do away with the necessity of adding the additional Hartfords. If we do this, however, it means that the town riding will be made worse. The chief reason for the Hartfords is that it does provide an adjustable amount of friction.

We are in a position now to demonstrate a Phantom 11 car fitted with the Delco adjustable hydraulics. We have not connected the adjustment up to the driver's seat but it takes only a few minutes to alter it.

We attach herewith the sketch which we ommitted on the original report.
