I am anxious to know whether you have information as to there being a likelihood of trouble from the Hardy Coupling fitted to "Phantom II" cars.

A case has just arisen where Capt. Crabbe's 65-XJ has shown that this coupling has partially come away in four places after running only 4,000 miles.

I notice that quite recently a standardisation sheet went through for a modification in respect of the rivets to be used with this Coupling.

I shall be glad to have any remarks in this connection.
