SHOCK DAMPER INDICATOR.

Will you please make an indicator to Hs. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} 1232 for use on the test rig.

This indicator should have the following advantages.

(1) A similar volume of oil to that used to operate the indicator is returned to the other end of the damper. This prevents pressure building up in the damper.

(2) The indicator measures the difference in pressures of the two ends of the damper, which is the nearest equivalent to the ball pin load.

(3) Both high pressure and low pressure diagrams can be taken at the same time. This should considerably simplify investigation work.
