(5) Batteries for examination are to be collected at your Works or Depot in London, or at our Works at Derby, and we will nominate a representative who will act on our behalf in carrying out the joint examination of batteries.

(6) Should there be any dispute regarding responsibility, the final decision shall be given by our Mr. Clark.

(7) On the question of payment in respects of service, you will not press for payment in respect of service where failure of the battery is clearly your responsibility, neither will you in such a case collect payment for any repairs, and it is suggested in all cases where you intend to charge, you should advise us, so that if there is any special reason to the contrary, we can inform you.

(8) The question of charged batteries to be stocked at Foreign Depots and how best to deal with them should be discussed.

(9) You will stock uncharged batteries to meet requirements for export to countries where you have no depots, until some arrangement has been arrived at with regard to foreign service generally.

We shall be glad to have your reply to the foregoing as early as possible.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
