P7 GOSHAWK CAR FOR R ORIGINAL To R.{Sir Henry Royce} from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. to CJ. c. to H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} c. to Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} c. to BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} c. to Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} c. to EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} c. to Hy.{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}2/LG17.11.21. GOSHAWK 11. X4219 Designs urgently required. On the Bump Test we are breaking rear spring brackets and rear springs regularly when bumping the rear. When bumping the front, we are breaking steering arms, engine support and dumb iron. *We are very anxious that we shall receive modified designs for these parts because they are parts which need, as a rule, new drop forgings and take considerable time to test.* We also require from W.W. designs to complete the electrical equipment, lubricators all round the chassis, shutters for radiator, wire wheels, and a number of other small items. We are endeavouring to build up a chassis for Mr. Royce. We are anxious that this car shall have parts fitted made to the latest information we know of. In order however, to do this, we require a number of designs from W.W. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
