SEC.5050. CYLINDER HEAD.
Jnr.{Charles L. Jenner} The cylinder head used will be the same as on 30.G.VII.
SEC.5060. VALVES & FITTINGS.
Jnr.{Charles L. Jenner} Phantom III inlet valve springs as on 30.G.VII.
SEC.5070. INLET PIPES.
Jnr.{Charles L. Jenner} The new pipe to be fitted - square section to RE.176.
SEC.5080. CARBURETTER.
CTS.{C. Trot Salt - Carburation} The Stromberg AA.{D. Abbot-Anderson}25 to be used with setting as on 11.B.V. car, on Jan. 23rd./40 - given by Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Whyman.
SEC.5090. CAMSHAFT.
A long discussion took place on the camshaft thrust and it was agreed that the whole question needed investigation both for gear and chain driven camshafts.
Jnr.{Charles L. Jenner} It was agreed to allow this unit to retain the old camshaft thrust (single) also that Jnr{Charles L. Jenner}'s scheme for a double thrust on a gear driven camshaft should be tested.
Cam spacings were given to Jnr.{Charles L. Jenner} by CTS.{C. Trot Salt - Carburation} (Ex.33975).
No tachometer drive can be applied to this unit, but it should be applied to the finalised camshaft.
SEC.5160. WATER PUMP & FAN.
Jnr.{Charles L. Jenner} Ventilated type ball bearing to be fitted.
SEC.5180. WHEELCASE.
Fabroil gears - Attwater Kent Close Grain.
Jnr.{Charles L. Jenner}
FJH.{Fred J. Hardy - Chief Dev. Engineer} Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/FJH.{Fred J. Hardy - Chief Dev. Engineer} to get a specification of the material we have tested.
SEC.5200. OIL & PETROL FITTINGS.
Jnr.{Charles L. Jenner} It was agreed to have a completely drilled-up camshaft without external oil pipes.
