Dear Sirs,

For the attention of Major Searight.

With reference to your letter of the 18th. inst. We thank you for the two hand pumps for the K.S. telegage to hand.

We will take the earliest opportunity of reporting on these.

We should be glad if you will let us have the tank back which you have at your earliest convenience, but we do not want to take it away from you if you are still doing useful work on it as you have many more facilities for getting the whole gauge unit right than we have.

While on the question of hand pumps. We should be interested to know what objections you have to the spring loaded type of pump of the Nivex which appears to have the advantage of :
(a) Leaving the driver only one physical action.
(b) Does not pump air into the air bell more rapidly than it can be utilised.

We should be glad to know whether you prefer the new position of the tank unit which we have been forced to adopt.

We anticipate that you may find this gives better pumping as it is nearer the back of the tank.

Yours faithfully,
