[C. to Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}] Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}7/JH. 20th. November, 1940. Messrs. Smiths Jacking System Ltd., Jackall Works, Edgware Road, LONDON.N.W. For the attention of D.Sessions Esq. Dear Sirs, re Portable Hydraulic Jacks. We wrote to you six months ago in connection with the provision of a trunnion attachment between your portable hydraulic jack and the forged extensions at the front and rear of our chassis frame. For fear our letter may not have reached you, we enclose herewith a copy. Although the present world conditions allow none of us much time to consider such pleasant peace-time pleasures as motor cars, we would be very pleased to hear from you whether you have been able to make a design for a trunnion fittings, as we have an immediate interest in the design. Yours faithfully, H.I.F. Evernden, Deputy Chief of Design, Chassis Section, for ROLLS-ROYCE LTD | ||
