Trot Salt - Carburation}5/ML.19.11.40. 3 GUNS AND TOOLS. All guns have been despatched with a very good tool kit (bearing in mind the very indefinite instructions issued by Vs.{J. Vickers}) These were housed in a standard aero engine tool box, with a kit of tools and equipment as shown on I.C.C...1718. The parts mentioned by Commander Young have been included with every gun despatched, therefore in the case of the cocking tool mentioned, there have had a plain tommy bar instead of the special fancy handle shown on the drawing. The disposition of the guns is as follows :-(to date, with their respective tool shortages) Gun No: 1. Hythe. (minus 1.F.A. spanner.) " " 2. Rhode Island.( " " " ) " " 3. Portland Bill. (complete) " " 4. Hythe. (Tools later with 5. and 6.) " " 5. Hythe.)(One air bottle between these two guns.) " " 6. Hythe.) NOTE. Fitters who have been out to work on the moors guns have used the tool kits supplied with the guns. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/CTS.{C. Trot Salt - Carburation} | ||
