Sg {Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} 10/BM/10423. 10th April, 1923. Captain Pelham-Clinton, Messrs Hooper & Co, Ltd., 54, St. {Capt. P. R. Strong} James's Street, London, S.W.1. Dear Captain Pelham-Clinton, Re: Nicholls 20 HP. Trials Touring Car. Referring to the above Car. I find that a very curious thing has happened - i.e. that it was really fitted with the type of Springs for closed bodies - whereas the Chassis, of course, is fitted with an Open Touring Body. The question arises as to the necessity of changing the springs. I understand you used it in the South of France and shall be very interested to receive your opinion in regard to the springing. Personally, I am not at all sure whether it is not better for use on the rough roads in Italy as it is. What do you think? Yours sincerely, EXPORT MANAGER, ROLLS-ROYCE, LIMITED. | ||
