Two-speed Supercharger.

We are sending you herewith two blue prints of D.E.S.2430 showing a five-times full size layout of the Humphrey Sandberg freewheel clutch for the above.

When laid out to the detailed dimensions we find that the outer race is in contact with the locating cone on the cage in the engaged position of the rollers, and this explains why it has been necessary on all the freewheel units that we have erected to fit a washer in between the rotor ball race and the bush on which the inner race of the free wheel clutch runs.

On the Humphrey Sandberg type of freewheel clutch it is very essential to have the correct axial location of the cage and the inner race, and our drawing shows the various stages in the erection of the clutch to ensure this dimension being correct.

Will you please arrange for the new freewheel clutch which we have just received from Messrs.Ransome & Marles to be erected to this scheme.
