Remarks.

5. Chrome or Stainless finish. He now wishes to discuss loose shell construction, saving in cost, with staybrite shells. There is no objection of course to the discussion so long as it is clear that we should not agree to loose shells for America unless we are going to standardise it for England.

6. Automatic shutter control. He wishes to discuss simplified installation with loose shell, power of thermostat in case of dirt or ice in mechanism. This will presumably be dealt with arising out of the experimental work.

7. Extra oil at starting. He wishes to discuss distribution of oil to individual cylinders. Presumably covered by experimental work.

8. Chassis lubrication to axles. He wishes to discuss division of delivery to remote points especially when cold. Presumably covered by experimental work.

9. American speedometer drive. He refers to the mounting in the instrument board, but of course all we have agreed at present is the standard instrument board with the American speedometer drive.

10. Fuel gauge in US gallons. As already advised in a former memo. the question arises as to the suitability of this instrument board with control gear lever and hand brake.
