HYDRAULIC SHOCK DAMPERS. With reference to the proposal to omit the air vent, I find that we have practically completed a series with the air vent fitted. In view of having produced the air vent, I propose to let it stand for this Series, unless Experimental Dept. are of the opinion that it is sufficiently important to remove it and fit a locked plug. As you mention "when convenient", we take it that our proposal to make the next Series without a vent at all is satisfactory. BY.{R.W.
