Y8310 To CJ. from Hs. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} S E C R E T. Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} 4/LG12.11.24. EAC.11. GEARBOX. Y8770 With reference to CJ1/E12.11.24. The difference between an EAC.11. gearbox and thr standard EAC.111. gearbox is that the EAC.11. has a different mechanism for operating the change speed. If we are to have an underframe on series 'V' or 'W' it will be necessary to have this modification to the change gear mechanism. The EAC.11. gearbox can be conveniently fitted to the standard 40/50 HP. (EAC 111.) The new parts should not affect reliability. We have allotted a 40/50 HP. experimental car which it is intended to build up into a 'V' series with 40/50 HP. engine, a car as soon as ever possible. This car could run 10,000 miles as soon as completed. The coupling on the gearbox to take the engine/drive is the same whether the EAC.11. or the 40/50 HP. engine is used.
