SECRET. X8310 To Hs. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from CJ. EAC.II. CJ1/E12/11/24 Referring to Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} 2/LG11/11/24 concerning EAC.II fitted to 93-NK, we note that this car is fitted with the new gear box. It would of course be as well for the new gear box to be tested for 10,000 miles, although it is not intended to introduce it into Series V and W, but by doing so we shall not be testing the chassis exactly as it will be turned out in Series V and W. Is there any danger of the connection between the present gear box and the new EAC engine and clutch having any weakness? If so then the present gear box should be fitted up into 93-NK. CJ. | ||
