x7530 EV{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}4/11.2.30. TO EF. FROM EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} COPY TO. HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} RE FRAMED PATCH OF INSTRUMENTS . P.2. A year ago this month we sent to you N.Sch.2836. shewing a framed patch of instruments in which was included the petrol gauge. We believe we have had one or two of these fitted to experimental cars, including 16.G.4. Has a Standardisation Sheet been signed?. We believe this was available when P.2. was introduced but it was decided to us the design we now fit, in which the gauge is separate from the patch, because certain material was in hand. We think that the arrangement which we now have is very unsatisfactory from many points of view, and that we should change to the later design as soon as all the material has been used up. The C.S.C. agreed to the use of Green Bulbs for the lamps in the patch. The objection that such coloured bulbs cannot be bought was not considered so important as that we should send the car out with a satisfactory illumination of the instruments. At present it is considered to be too bright. EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} | ||
