Gas Flow Efficiency.
FN. referred to the recent report issued by the Expt. Dept. on gas flow efficiency on various types of cylinder head and enquired whether the improved gas flow which is found to exist on the 8-litre Bentley could be applied to Phantom.
E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} replied that it could not be done without considerable alteration to design and that the gas flow efficiencies obtained with a 4 valve cylinder cannot be achieved with 2 valve cylinder.
