25/30 HP. STEERING ROLLERS - F.61284.

As there appeared to be a difference between the information contained in memo Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/FGH.4/AP.9.11.36, and Messrs. Ransome & Marles' letter reference FOH/OD of the 9th inst. in regard to the question of lapping allowance to be left on the above steering rollers, we got in touch over the telephone with Messrs. Ransome & Marles Limited, and have to-day received a written confirmation from them in their letter reference Technical Dept. HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/CW of the 11th inst. to the effect that the dimensions now shown on our drawing F.61283 as covered by Alteration No.16471 are perfectly satisfactory and will give them the F lapping allowance they need.

Any steering rollers therefore, which are despatched from these Works should have the extra lapping allowance shown in the above alteration incorporated at the earliest possible moment.
