By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} Sct. MX.{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} RP. He. G/RD. 84117 D/RP/HDG/WS.11.9.31. Re: Chassis No.GFT-43 - The Marquis of Cholmondeley. Will you please note this customer now requests for the double Hartfords having adjustment from the driver's seat and Sales Dept. require our confirmation that we are agreeable to supplying the necessary fittings as they see no objection to their use. It is also understood by Sales Dept. if the customer's wishes are carried out the cost will not exceed £12.12.0d. Will Rb.{R. Bowen} please look into this question of charges. With regard to the springing details, we have ascertained from PN.{Mr Northey} that when touring Lord Cholmondeley has with him her Ladyship only. In addition, there would, of course, be touring luggage for two persons but we understand this is not likely to be unduly heavy as His Lordship dislikes cramming the car with luggage. No doubt this information will enable you to reasonably estimate the strength of the springs but if you should require further details we shall have to request Sales Dept. to communicate with the customer.
