c. Rae. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} c. H/ID. 442. AKM DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}S/G.14.10.38. BENTLEY 111. F.CP.245 UNCONTROLLED VALVE. FRONT SHOCK DAMPER. Please receive herewith the above scheme, which is generally similar to S.CP.429, the chief difference is the deletion of the bellows, as no governor control is required on the front damper. A housing for the valve spring is added, together with a Dixtampo cap. The valve sleeve to Ex.S.498 should, in future, be madein bronze instead of S/M.{Mr Moon / Mr Moore} as the Experimental Department have complained that there is a tendency for the valve to stick. The modifications called for by this scheme are a minimum in view of the fact that we may eventually wish to return to the controlled valve to S.CP.429. DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
