1091 Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}7/MH.{M. Huckerby} 29th. July 1938. M.Wilks, Esq., The Rover Company Ltd., New Meteor Works, COVENTRY. Dear Wilks, Leylands have been trying a two-leading-shoe brake developed by Captain Irving of Bendix. We have told them that we consider that your two-leading-shoe brake is superior. We have not mentioned your name because we did not know how you felt about Leylands trying out the job, but if you would like them to do something with it they have asked to have full particulars. In the meantime we are, of course, going ahead. We are very interested in the hydraulic application, and will get Martindale to come over and see you about it when he returns from his holidays. Yours sincerely, | ||
